Words fail me at the moment, pretty much.
Someone once said something to the effect of, if Tyranny returns to these shores, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the Cross. They forgot to mention, though it may be implied, that they'd be saying the Tyranny would be "for our own protection."
Sure, it could be hard to argue against the notion that if the .gov is watching us all 24/7, we'll be safe from "terrorist" attacks. Then again, it didn't do shit to stop the Boston bombers, and that's AFTER the Russians WARNED us about one of the bastard jihadis.
But that's the rub - if you want freedom, you have to accept a little risk as part of the bargain.
